1) Digital Ethics in Practice Management: A Heart-Centered Approach

Seattle and PortlandA 6-hour ethics training for private practice mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, and psychologists in psychotherapy practice to navigate the “digital ethics” and legal pitfalls in modern practice management. We will discuss:

  • Confidentiality and other HIPAA/ethics concerns in electronic communications
  • “Cloud”-based practice management and record-keeping as well as electronic health records (“EHR”)
  • The technology used in “skype therapy,” aka telehealth
  • Managing a website ethically and in compliance with HIPAA
  • Dealing with and using online reviews
  • Credit cards and mobile payments among other aspects of practice management

2) Digital Confidentiality According to Professional Ethics and HIPAA: A Heart-Centered Approach

Live webinar

Two separate 3-hour ethics trainings for mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers and psychologists in psychotherapy practice on assessing our practices for security and privacy of client information, compliance with HIPAA Security and HITECH mandates, and helping our particular clients with their specific needs around electronic security and privacy. These are two separate webinar events taken in series. Each is 3 CE Ethics hours, for a total of 6 hours between the two. It is highly recommended to take both, and potential attendees should take Level I before Level II.
