90 minutes, Live & Interactive, NBCC-approved Continuing Education Clock Hours Available
“Can I pay you with a credit card?”
“Do you have Square?”
“Can I PayPal you the money?”
Whether your work in a traditional setting or do online therapy, the ability to take credit card payments is both increasingly important and increasingly easy to do.
Thus, we get a lot of questions here at Person-Centered Tech around how to legally and ethically accept credit cards. So we’ve put together this special topic to take our colleagues through the basic ins and outs of ethical and HIPAA-compliant use of credit cards in mental health practice.
This will be a 90-minute, live, interactive seminar presented via webinar.
We’ll answer these kinds of questions:
- Is it HIPAA compliant to use Square, PayPal, or other easy-to-use electronic payment services? more info here…
- Is it healthy for my clients to pay for therapy with credit?
- Do I have to be compliant with PCI-DSS? more info here…
- What safety and confidentiality issues do I need to inform clients about before I accept their payment cards?
- Square and PayPal use the cloud to make payments. Is that HIPAA compliant? more info here…
- Taking cards means I have to pay fees. Is it legal or ethical to charge those fees to my clients? more info here…
- What are all these things? “Square?” “PayPal?”
