Hello everyone, I’m Roy Huggins. LPC NCC, I’m the director of Person Center Tech and this is Liath.

Hi everybody, I’m the deputy director of Person Center Tech and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Roy:
Thank you for subscribing to the newsletter. We appreciate it, we’re happy to have you here and we want to make sure that you know the resources you have access to. And we’re going to be sending you one of these videos every few days for several weeks in order to make sure that you know how to find all the stuff available to you. And now of course that’s mainly Liath’s job, so I’m going to let her talk about the first video.
Liath:
Yes, Roy is right. Part of my role is to help you get the resources that specifically address your particular questions, and so don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know what those questions are so I can get you the best resource, but we’ll address those.
Roy:
Yeah.
Liath:
So part of of what might have brought you here are all of the free sample forms that we offer, and so I want to make sure you know how to access those and the best way to do that is by going to my account page and then clicking on my free downloads, and then that will take you there. And I want to highlight some of the forms that we find to be really the most useful across the board. And those are our request for non secure communications form, our email and texting risk questionnaire, which accompanies the previous form. And then our electronic records disclosure form.
Roy:
Right, great. That’s kind of interesting though Liath. There’s a questionnaire that goes with a form. Don’t we usually just give the form to the client and have them sign it and then we move on?
Liath:
Actually, something that we really emphasize is the importance of having collaborative processes around your usage of these forms.
Roy:
That makes sense. It kind of sounds like something I heard in grand school. Collaborating with the client.
Liath:
It should, and that’s really where the person centered component of all of this comes in.
Roy:
Right. Makes a lot of sense. Great.
And I guess they should also know about the free educational article series that we have.
Liath:
Exactly. So all of our tools come with specific resources that prove information and guidance on how to use those tools.
Roy:
Ah, right. So yeah, I personally am familiar with these, having written them, and I might recommend that everyone starts with the [Hippa 00:02:22] series. Because we got five of these series. There’s a HIPPA one, an online therapy one and an email and texting series and one for money on the cards, and also on that’s [inaudible 00:02:30] about online marketing. If you want to read that one first, that’s okay. There’s not really much HIPPA in there. But the other four are all pretty foundational and they start with that HIPPA foundation, so for most people reading through the HIPPA series first might be the best place to start.
Liath:
Exactly. And having a solid foundation is always a good place to approach anything.
Roy:
I’m a fan of it. That’s right. And so speaking of solid foundation, we’re going to send you more to give you a solid foundation for understanding how to use our resources, and we’ll see you in the next video.
