Joe Bavonese, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who started a group practice in Michigan in 2000, which now has 22 psychotherapists in two locations in southeastern Michigan. In 2005 Joe started Uncommon Practices, which helps solo and group practices create their ideal practice through the application of state-of-the-art business and marketing strategies, delivered through online classes, coaching and group programs. Joe has presented on these topics at 19 professional conferences including the American Psychological Association; California Psychological Association; Psychotherapy Networker; National Alliance of Professional Psychological Providers; National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine (NICABM); Michigan Society for Behavioral Medicine and Biofeedback; Oregon Counseling Association and the Group Practice Summit.
